Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey U P Sainik School, Lucknow and Sainik School, Gorakhpur, U P run under the aegis of U P Sainik Schools Society in the chairmanship of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The purpose of these special institutions of the Government of UP is to impart military oriented training to prepare the selected students of Uttar Pradesh for a career in the Officers’ Cadre of the Indian Armed Forces through the National Defence Academy (NDA). Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey U P Sainik School, Lucknow and Sainik School Gorakhpur, UP, are English medium residential schools and are affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi.

Eligibility
Applicant and Father of the applicant must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh only.
Date of Birth Applications are invited from applicants born between the dates given as under for the academic session 2026-27, for appearing in UP Sainik Schools Entrance Examination to be held on 28 Dec 2025:-

The applicant can appear in the examination as per the following details:

Note: Candidates must have passed class V and VIII for admission in class VI and IX, respectively, by 20 May 2026 from a recognized School.
Admission Procedure
Admission is made strictly in the order of merit in an OMR based (Objective) Competitive Written Examination, followed by Medical Examination and Interview.
Application Fees
Application fee of Rs 1000/- and with Rs 2000/- with late fee from 21 – 31 Oct 2025 for all categories.
Reservation
Out of total vacancies, 20% of the seats are reserved for OBC, 21% for SC, 0.2% for ST, and 10% for EWS-Gen category. There is only SELF SELF-FINANCE SEAT for Class IC Boys applicants of UP Sainik School, Lucknow.

Applicant must upload his/her latest coloured photograph and signature. The size of the photograph must be width 150, Height 200 and the signature Width : 250, Height 100
